Project Vision and Results
Safe, low-impact demolition in a sensitive environment.
The BC Museum project required precise, safety-critical concrete removal within an active public facility. We completed targeted demolition through careful planning, utility mapping, and controlled methods designed to minimize vibration and protect surrounding structures. Using diamond sawcutting and low-impact breaking, our team removed select concrete elements while maintaining strict dust, noise, and debris containment standards. Work was coordinated to reduce disruption to visitors and staff, leaving the site clean, secure, and ready for the museum’s next phase of upgrades.
Despard Contracting provided excellent civil construction services for our work at the Royal BC Museum. Their crew was professional, safety-focused, and consistently responsive throughout the project. They coordinated well with site constraints and active operations, maintained a high standard of workmanship, and delivered their scope efficiently and reliably.”
